A year has already gone by from when the monumental complex of Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedrals of Cefalù and Monreale was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site (WHL). To commemorate this important date and promote this cultural patrimony, on Wednesday 27th July at 7 p.m. in Palazzo Riso, Palermo the event UNESCO Arab-Norman Year 1 will take place.
The evening has been organized by the Sicilian UNESCO Patrimony Foundation in collaboration with the UNESCO Youth Committee.
The evening commences with the debut of the new advertising campaign to promote the site globally, followed by the presentation of the ensuing initiatives taking place from September on to further promote Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedrals of Cefalù and Monreale.
Visitors will be able to enjoy the great afro-jazz-surf music of Monsiuer toupet feat Gianni Gebbia e la Maquina de Percussiòn and taste wines offered by the Settesoli vineyards.
