“Spain in Palermo”, four days dedicated to art, culture, gastronomy and music in Piazza Verdi, in the heart of Palermo. It is an event which aims to promote and encourage Sicilian tourist industry to choose one of the places (Andalucia, Aragona, Catalonia, Galizia, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Madrid and Valencia) presented as targets for the forthcoming holidays.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition area “Spain in Palermo” is scheduled on Thursday May 19th at 10.30 and from 04.00 to 08.30 p.m.; it will be possible to get illustrative material and information about the promoted places. During the evening the schedule provides the tasting of some wine and food products from Spain and the listening of Celtic-Galitian music.

Interesting initiatives offering a deep knowledge of Spanish Palermo can be found in the programme of the event. Not to be missed the meeeting scheduled on Thursday, May 19th at 05.00 p.m. at the Cervantes Institute,via Argenteria Nuova 33, which provides a debate led by Prof. Pietro Longo, the president of the Palermo department of “Italia Nostra” about “Palermo in the Aragonian Age:history, art and urban culture”. Free entrance on invitation to be collected at the exibition area of “Spain in Palermo”.
Also the two guided walks (see the programme) along the Spanish Palermo, are on invitation to be collected at the exibition area in Piazza Verdi (Turespana Desk).
