Fondata nel 1191 per i monaci cistercensi, molto danneggiata dalle bombe, è stata successivamente restaurata e parzialmente ricostruita. Vi si accede da un portale barocco che si apre a sinistra sulla via omonima. Interno a tre navate su colonne marmoree e archi a sesto acuto, nel pavimento lastre tombali di cavalieri teutonici.
A sinistra della chiesa sono interessanti avanzi del chiostro del secolo XII che ricorda quello di Monreale.
Tra le opere d’arte al suo interno vi sono: due acquasantiere del XVI secolo ai lati dell’ingresso,una Vergine col Bambino del XVI secolo. Nell’abside destra un tabernacolo del XVI secolo e una Madonna dipinta su lavagna, forse cinquecentesca.

The Magione was founded in 1191 for the Cistercian monks, heavily damaged by bombs, was subsequently restored and partially rebuilt. The entrance of the church is from a baroque portal which opens to the left on the same street.The interior is made up of three naves on marble columns and six-pointed arches, on the floor there are some tombstones of Teutonic Knights.
To the left of the church are interesting remains of the XII century cloister which recalls that of Monreale. Among the works of art there are two holy water fonts of the XVI century, on the sides of the entrance, a Virgin with the Child of the XVI century. The right apse houses a 16th century tabernacle and an interesting slate-painting representing a Madonna, perhaps of the sixteenth century.
